The Ctrl Shift Tech Accelerator is an 8-week, in-person program designed for middle and early high school students.

Instruction is structured and consistent. Sessions follow a defined format and are supported by mentors who work directly with student teams.

Instructors are responsible for delivering the technical portion of each session.

You are not expected to build the program from scratch. You will work from an existing curriculum and structured session plan.

• Leading technology instruction during program sessions
• Explaining concepts in a clear, practical, and engaging way
• Guiding students through hands-on exercises
• Supporting application of tools within team-based project work
• Working alongside mentors to reinforce learning

The goal is not to overwhelm students, but to help them understand and apply what they are learning.

• Professionals, educators, or experienced practitioners in technology-related fields
• Comfortable explaining concepts to beginners
• Able to engage and manage a group of students in a structured environment
• Reliable and able to prepare for and lead sessions

• Software development
• Data or analytics
• IT or systems
• Digital media or design
• AI tools and workflows
• Business or operations roles involving technology

You do not need to be an expert in everything. You need to be able to communicate clearly and adapt to the audience.

• Lead Instructor: participate in most or all sessions across the 8-week program
• Supporting Instructor: assist with select sessions based on expertise

Each session is approximately 2 to 3 hours and takes place in person on Saturdays.

Preparation time may be required depending on the session you are leading.

• Experience teaching and communicating technical concepts
• Opportunity to give back through meaningful, skill-based impact
• Exposure to program development and youth education
• The ability to directly shape how students experience technology

This is a hands-on role with real impact.

• Technology instruction led by the instructor

Instructors focus on the technical learning portion while working in coordination with mentors and program leadership.

• Contribute to a structured and positive learning environment

This is not a casual volunteer role. Instructors are a key part of program delivery.
