Why Ctrl Shift
The Digital Divide
Too many students in Chicago’s underserved neighborhoods are left behind when it comes to technology education. While well-funded suburban schools offer advanced computer science courses and modern resources, inner-city students often face outdated equipment, limited access, and little exposure to mentorship in tech.
Ctrl Shift was created to close that gap. By teaching digital literacy, leadership, and emerging tech skills, we help students build the confidence and preparation they need for higher education and lifelong learning in the digital future.
